Privacy Policy

Version of 12 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit frnds.ch and when you join the FRNDS early access list, why we do it, and what rights you have. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/revDSG) and, where visitors from the European Union use our website, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

Responsible for the processing of your data (controller) is:

[First name Last name] and [First name Last name], operating the project “FRNDS”
[Street and number]
[Postcode] [City], Switzerland

FRNDS is currently a project in its founding stage. Once a company has been registered, it will take over this role and we will update this policy.

For any question about your data, write to connect@frnds.ch.

2. Visiting our website

Server logs

When you open frnds.ch, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period and then deleted. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Anonymous visitor statistics without cookies

We count visits to understand how many people are interested in FRNDS and which of our channels (for example a flyer or Instagram) work. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels or external analytics services for this. For each visit we store:

These data are kept for at most 400 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding the reach of our project (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Data stored in your browser

The website stores your language choice in your browser’s local storage and, for the current browser tab only, the campaign source of the link you used. These entries never leave your device except as part of a sign-up or visit count described in this policy. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings. No cookies are set for visitors.

3. Early access list

What we collect

When you request early access, we process:

Why we use it

We do not use your data for advertising on other platforms, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not create profiles about you from other sources.

Double opt-in

After you sign up, we send an email with a confirmation link. Only when you click it are you added to the list. If you do not confirm, your address is deleted automatically after 30 days.

Legal basis

Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; under Swiss law the processing is based on your consent and our legitimate interest). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

How to leave the list

Every email from us contains a link to your personal page. There you can change your details or delete your data with one click. You can also write to connect@frnds.ch.

Invite links

If someone joins through your personal invite link, we store your invite code with their entry. You only see the number of friends who joined, not who they are. Please share your link only with people who are happy to receive it.

4. Emails and contact

If you write to us, we process your message and contact details to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where relevant, steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

5. Who receives your data

Only the FRNDS team has access to the early access list. We use the following service provider, which processes data on our behalf and under a data processing agreement:

We may disclose data to authorities if we are legally required to do so.

6. Data transfers abroad

Your data are stored in Switzerland. The European Commission has recognised that Switzerland ensures an adequate level of data protection, so no additional safeguards are required for transfers from the EU. We do not transfer your data to other countries.

7. How long we keep your data

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

To exercise your rights, write to connect@frnds.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch). If you live in the EU, you can also contact the data protection authority in your country of residence.

9. Age

FRNDS is only for adults. Please do not sign up if you are under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has signed up, we delete the entry.

10. Security

The website is only accessible via an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The early access list is stored in a protected area of our server that cannot be accessed from the internet. Access to the admin area is protected by a strong password and limited to the FRNDS team.

11. Changes

We will update this policy when our services change, in particular before FRNDS launches. The version published on this page applies. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it.
